Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding

An indulgent winter bread pudding studded with delicious Dove® Fruit Blueberries
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. loaf sweet bread such as brioche or challah, preferably stale
  • 6 large eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup Dove® Fruit Blueberries
Instructions
  1. Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes. You should have approximately 8-9 cups of bread cubes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Add the milk and whisk for several minutes until noticeably thicker and lighter in color.
  3. Add the bread cubes to the egg mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the bread to soak up the custard. (May sit for several hours.)
  4. Preheat oven to 325 and butter a 2-quart baking dish.
  5. Pour the bread mixture into the prepared dish and add the Dove® Fruit Blueberries. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the bread pudding is puffy and the top golden.
  7. Allow to cool for twenty minutes before serving.
